There are a number of ways you may choose to engage with Ema Davis Naturopathy, involving the purchase or booking of products or services through this website. The terms and conditions in this document apply to all of my products and services unless alternative terms are explicitly stated.

Services we offer include:

 

  • Initial Naturopathy Consultations

  • Follow up Naturopathy Consultations

 

Our intention in offering these services is to help you to learn about your body and understand why you may be experiencing symptoms.  Recommendations regarding dietary and lifestyle choices are provided during Naturopathy consultations, which may assist you to feel more in control of your health. Our primary aim is to provide a holistic point of view for your health and to offer herbal remedies that may support your wellbeing. Note that there is no obligation for you to undertake any of the recommendations made, nor purchase any of the prescriptions or products offered to you during or after your Naturopathy consultation.

PRACTITIONER QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

​

Ema Davis has studied and attained an Australian Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy).

​

It is Ema’s responsibility to keep her knowledge and skills up to date in the areas of health that she has chosen to work with. Ema does this by renewing and maintaining her annual CPE points, seeking mentoring and researching the latest developments in health conditions and herbal medicine. It is Ema’s responsibility to refer you to another health care professional if your health condition is outside of her scope of practice. Ema will pay attention to the information you disclose about your health and commit to taking all reasonable care and due diligence when providing Naturopathic recommendations. Ema is a certified member of the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association, Australia (NHAA), and is covered by all relevant insurances applicable to her Australian naturopathic practice.

It is our business’ responsibility to conduct the running of our clinic in a manner that is respectful and courteous towards our clients, their property and their information. We reserve the right to refuse the supply of our products and/or services to any persons who do not conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful and courteous towards our business’ staff, property and resources.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

When working with your Naturopath, is it your responsibility to be honest about the scope of your health conditions, provide full and accurate information about your health, your health history, and current medications and/or supplements that you are taking.

​

If attending a consult via phone or Telehealth, it is your responsibility to be in a quiet room and to give our consultation your fullest attention. 

​

It is your responsibility to read the health plan provided to you and ask questions if you don't understand any of the recommendations. It is also your responsibility to inform your practitioner if you disagree with or would prefer not to follow any of the recommendations made in our consultation(s), such that alternative suggestions can be provided to suit your specific needs and preferences. It is our aim to provide a treatment plan that suits your budget and is tailored to your unique health goals.

As any health condition(s) can change, any recommendations you receive from Ema Davis are to be considered valid for 3 months from the date of the appointment where the advice was provided. It is your responsibility to seek further advice if you intend to follow the recommendations provided less recently than a period of 3 months.

​

It is your responsibility to conduct yourself in a manner that is respectful and courteous towards all of our staff, property and resources.

​

It is your responsibility to read and follow the requirements outlined in all other policy and agreement statements provided on this website and outlined in your initial intake form

​

 

CONCERN FOR MENTAL WELLBEING

​

Please be aware that, while Naturopaths received training in basic social counselling skills, Ema Davis is not a qualified counsellor, psychologist or therapist. In the event that you disclose information that raises concerns for your mental health and wellbeing, your Naturopath will recommend that you make an appointment to see a practitioner who is qualified in this area to offer you any mental health support that you may require, including a psychologist, councillor or medical doctor. You may also be referred to a public Australian online resources or services such as, but not limited to, Beyond Blue, Lifeline or ReachOut. You are encouraged to alert your Naturopath if you believe you are struggling with your mental health, such that an appropriate referral may be offered.

REFUND POLICY AND CONSUMER GUARANTEES

​

Refunds do not apply to Naturopathic consultations or herbal/nutritional products, unless there is evidence of damage, fault, tampering or legitimate concern regarding product quality (as in the product labelling is inconsistent with the supplied materials/contents), in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

​

Your herbal prescription (tincture, cream, compound) is carefully blended and/or selected to suit your particular health needs. Herbal or nutritional products, and any retail products purchased through our clinic, cannot be returned if you change your mind, so you are encouraged to consider carefully whether a purchase is right for you before making a payment.

​

Where we use a third-party company to supply supplements and/or herbal medicines (e.g. Vital.ly or NaturalChemist), or recommend products from an external supplier, please refer to their Terms and Conditions for particulars regarding their returns and refunds policy.

​

If you experience an issue with your prescription or purchase through our clinic, please contact us immediately via email at emadavisnaturopathy@gmail.com or via phoning our clinic our 0490 393 246 and we will endeavour to resolve the issue.

If you feel that there is any problem with a provided service, please let us know within 7 days. We are always very keen to understand what has gone wrong if you are unhappy, and address your concerns to try and find a mutually acceptable solution.

RESPECTFUL COMMUNICATION

Ema Davis Naturopathy reserves the right to delete any comment on this website or this business’ social media accounts that is rude, offensive or which we deem to be inappropriate for the consumption of our other clients and staff.

JURISDICTION AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

​

If you have any concerns, issues or complaints arising out of your use of this website, our products, services, or these terms and conditions, you agree to communicate with Ema Davis Naturopathy with the intention of making a genuine effort to seek a win/win solution, and trying to resolve the dispute through negotiation and discussion.

​

If we are unable to resolve a dispute by negotiation and discussion, you may access the complaints procedure offered by the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association Australia, accessed through their website https://nhaa.org.au/ or by calling the association on (02) 9797 2244.

​

You (the customer) and Ema Davis Naturopathy both agree that we shall not publicly or privately disparage each other or anyone connected with the other’s business, but rather shall act in good faith to refrain from any conduct or communication which might reasonably be expected to negatively interfere with the business and/or personal interests of each other.

This agreement is subject to the governing law of New South Wales. Regardless of where you live in the world, you irrevocably agree that if the dispute resolution processes fail, the courts of New South Wales, and the Commonwealth of Australia, will have exclusive jurisdiction.
